Alpha Electronics' "Metal Foil Precision Resistors" are ultra-precision resistors that use a special alloy foil with a thickness of several micrometers for the resistance element, unlike conventional precision-grade metal film resistors or wire-wound resistors. Regarding the important performance of long-term stability, unlike metal film resistors which use thin films, the use of several micrometers of metal foil allows for the extraction of the stable properties inherent to metals, resulting in products with very small aging changes. The minimum temperature coefficient of resistance is 0.05 ppm/°C (typical value), and the minimum resistance value tolerance is ±0.0025%, with an aging change of approximately 5 ppm/year* making it an excellent product in terms of long-term stability.
